Accessibility Statement

Everyone should be able to learn about our care and book a visit, however they use the web.

Our commitment

Ervin Physical Therapy wants every patient, family member, and caregiver to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, screen magnification, captions, or reduced-motion settings.

Conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA (opens in a new tab). This is the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Section 504 rule for healthcare providers.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to main content” link, clear page landmarks, and a logical heading structure on every page.
  • Every page, menu, and form can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text and controls were tested for color contrast, and colors were adjusted where they fell short.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for photos of our team, clinic, and patients, and captions on our Spotlight Series videos.
  • Our appointment, job application, wellness, membership, and discount forms have labeled fields, clear error messages, and a confirmation that screen readers announce.
  • Animation respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and moving reviews can be paused.
  • All content remains readable with JavaScript turned off and when zoomed to 400%.
  • We do not use accessibility “overlay” plug-ins; accessibility is built into the site itself.

Ongoing review

We test the site with automated tools and by hand, including keyboard-only and screen reader checks, before launch and whenever pages or features change, and we review the whole site at least once a year.

Known limitations

Some content comes from third-party services we do not fully control:

  • Live chat is provided by an outside service (LeadConnector). If the chat window is hard to use, call or email us instead.
  • Google reviews widget on the home page is provided by a third party; some links inside it are small.
  • Spotlight Series videos play in YouTube’s embedded player, which has some accessibility issues outside our control. Each video can also be watched directly on YouTube.
  • Google Maps embeds are provided by Google. Every address, phone number, and set of hours shown on a map is also written out as text on the same page.

Booking never depends on these services: you can always request an appointment with the form on our pages or by phone.
